We are seeking a committed and experienced Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with appropriate Autism/Learning Disability and epilepsy experience to join a small Adult Disabilities Services team on the beautiful Island of Alderney, the second largest of the States of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

This role is to oversee the care package for a 24-year-old male Service User who has Autistic tendencies, a severe learning disability and epilepsy. 
He has limited vocabulary and care is provided on a 2:1 basis shared with a team comprising yourself and two experienced Support Workers.

The hours are predominantly 09:00-17:00 (variable on occasion) Monday to Saturday however there will be a requirement to be flexible and there may be a need to occasionally do Sundays and overnight support. 
The remaining care is provided by the Service Users family. 
All care is provided in the family home.

Please note; Alderney (States of Guernsey) has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Band 5 salary range is £34876 to £44981 plus an annual bonus of £1,517 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

The island of Alderney is in the Channel Islands, located near Guernsey and not far from the French coast.
The island boasts elegant beaches, historic fortifications, and a small castle, all part of a unique island community.

Person Requirements:
Registered Nurse or suitably experienced AHP or Social Worker with appropriate UK statutory registration as applicable.
Current or recent experience with young adults with Autism/Learning Disability/Epilepsy and some experience in managing care packages. A flexible and hands-on approach and a willingness to experience working in a rural and remote island setting.
Current, valid driving licence
