We are seeking an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join the Social Care Team within the Adult Community Care Service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
In supporting the Band 6 Team Leader, you will;
– assist the Band 6 Senior Team Leaders in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for Service Users living at home within a defined caseload.
– assist with the management of the caseloads, day-to-day support, supervision, and deployment of staff.
– provide high quality Social Nursing Care supporting Service Users in the community and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within an integrated Social/Nursing care model.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfCbanding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The Guernsey Band 6 salary range is £36,900 to £47,590 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave

Person requirements:
NMC-Registered Nurse
Current or recent Community Care experience including supervision and support of Care Assistant/Support Worker staff
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload and that of others
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal with complex and challenging situations in a calm and diplomatic manner
The ability to work autonomously and also as part of a multi-disciplinary team
