We are seeking a capable and experienced Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist for Adult Learning Disability and Autism to join the Senior Team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

Role Summary:
To provide specialist support and advice to the MDT in the management of patients with learning disabilities and/or autism
To ensure that systems and processes are in place to identify patients with LD and /or autism and that their pathways of care are reasonably adjusted to meet their needs
To ensure the availability of a comprehensive range of patient information, designed for and with patients with LD and/or autism
To ensure that families and carers of patients with LD and/or autism are properly supported, informed and engaged
To develope and delivering an effective training strategy in relation to LD and/or autism
To develope a programme of audit to assess and identify potential improvements in the care of patients with LD and/or autism

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scales.
The current Guernsey Band 7 salary is up to £58,081 plus an annual bonus of £1,350 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Person requirements:
Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
Significant post-graduate Learning Disabilities experience at senior level.
Completion of a recognised Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification.
