Applications are invited from commited and experienced Band 6 Senior Staff Nurses to join our client’s busy Cardiac Intensive Care Unit based at their NHS Trust site in Central London (Travelcard Zone 1).
This is a full-time NHS-employed substantive/permanent post, but we are open to hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a part-time opportunity.
Cardiac experience is not essential for applicants currently in a Band 6 Critical Care post, with a genuine desire to develop skills in a Cardiac setting.

This Hospital is within a major NHS Trust in Central London, the largest heart and lung centre in the UK with a world-famous reputation.
Their Critical Care service comprises an 18-bedded Level 3 ITU, an 18-bedded Cardio-respiratory HDU and a 10-bedded PACU.
The ITU is a commissioned ECMO, Cardiogenic Shock and Regional Acute Aortic Dissection Centre for patients requiring advanced cardiovascular or respiratory support.
The unit offers a variety of development opportunities; including ILS, ALS, EAPLS, critical care diploma/degree modules as well as a range of in-house study days.

Person requirements:
Registered Nurse with NMC registration (or application in process).
Minimum of two years post-registration experience, proficient in managing a level 3 ventilated patient unsupervised.
Completion of a recognised post-graduate Critical Care qualification
Experienced in the mentorship of junior qualified Nurses and Students
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work within a team and independently.
