We are seeking a capable and experienced Deputy Manager to join the Physical & Learning Disabilities team at their Supported Living service based in Swindon, Wiltshire

Job Role:
To support the manager to effectively manage a team of support workers to deliver person centred, specialist services.
To provide clear leadership in relation to work issues and to offer guidance, support, and training where required, alongside conducting staff supervisions.
Maintaining up to date care plans and risk assessments
To act as a representative of the service in all dealings with external stakeholders
To plan and manage the rota and contribute to a 24 hour on call service.

This Supported Living service provides
Support for people with learning disabilities including autism some with physical disabilities.
There are two specially adapted bungalows in spacious grounds specially designed and adapted to assist those with profound physical disabilities. 
Hydro-therapy baths and suitably adapted wet rooms have also been installed at this service.

Person requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent, willing to undertake Level 5 (funded)
Substantial experience of working with adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behaviours of concern, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Epilepsy and Complex Needs as a Senior Support Worker/Team leader role.
Experience of leading, motivating, supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation.
Experience of dealing with difficult and challenging situations safely and calmly
