We are seeking a motivated, experienced Lead Theatre (Endoscopy) Practitioner to join our client’s busy perioperative team based in their acute hospital site in Bournemouth, Dorset.
The department is open between 08:00-20:00 Monday to Friday.
This is a full-time role, but we are open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity
This organisation is Britain’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation and is a leading provider of independent healthcare in the UK.
Their Bournemouth Hospital works with some of the regions expert Consultant Cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare specialists and comprises 38 beds, three operating theatres, a recently refurbished outpatient department, a minor ops suite, a dedicated oncology unit, and a full range of diagnostics, including on site CT and MRI.
The successful candidate will use their technical expertise and empathy to co-ordinate the endoscopy service, promoting best practice and maintaining the required standards for JAG accreditation.
Person requirements:
Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
Current or recent senior experience in Endoscopy, with at least two years at Senior Practitioner level
Completion of a recognised Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification.
A post-registration qualification in Endoscopy would be an advantage.
