We are seeking an experienced Hand Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Physio service at our client’s Acute Hospital site based in Central London (Travelcard Zone 1). This role is within easy reach of TfL and National Rail services.
This is a full time role however we are equally open to hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity.

You will perform advanced musculo-skeletal assessments of orthopaedic and plastic surgery hand patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan, which is carried out as an autonomous practitioner.
You will be highly competent in assessing a wide range of hand and plastic surgery conditions based on advanced theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, often in situations where conflicting evidence is present.

An established charity-status centre of excellence for over 160 years, the Hospital has 60 inpatient beds, including level three Critical Care and a state of the art five-suite Operating Theatre complex.
The Physiotherapy department is fully equipped with a rehabilitation gym, neuro assessment room, and with close links to the Occupational Therapy department has shared facilities including a home living assessment room.
The department treats a varied caseload of inpatient and outpatients, addition to a comprehensive musculo-skeletal team, specialities include Respiratory, Women’s Health, Neuro-rehab, Hand and Paediatrics.

Person requirements
Physiotherapist with full HCPC registration.
Current or recent specific Hand experience, at least 1 year must have been in the UK.
Evidence of post graduate professional development in hand therapy specialism i.e. BAHT or similar.
Experience in the teaching of junior Physiotherapists and students.
