Applications are open for an experienced senior Mental Health Nurse to lead the five inpatient Ward Managers and their teams within the major health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Nursing, you will provide highly visible professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary teams.
The remit comprises the only Acute Inpatient facility on the island offering admission to working age adults and four Older Adult Units – Admission, Challenging Behaviour, EMI and a Physical/Mental Health Unit.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Band 8A salary is up to £67,429 plus an annual bonus of £1,350 however 2022 salary negotiations currently at final stage

Person requirements:
Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
A minimum of five years Inpatient Mental Health experience, with at least one year at Ward/Unit Manager level or higher
Experience of leading and managing teams effectively
Experience of performance management
Teaching skills
A flexible and creative approach to treatments/models of care and adapt to developing needs of the service.
In possession of, or working towards a recognised post-graduate Management qualification.
