We are seeking a committed and experienced Senior Cardiac Cath lab Nurse to join our client’s busy Cardiac teams. The hospital is located in the elegant Victorian seaside resort of Bournemouth, Dorset, close to the scenic Jurassic Coast.
Our client is a major provider of independent healthcare in the UK; working with many of the capital’s most experienced Consultants and other healthcare specialists, this centre of excellence delivers a high standard of Acute Surgical & Critical Care supported by state-of-the-art equipment.
The successful candidate will provide a specialist private cardiac service to patients requiring diagnostic and interventional procedures involving angiography, angioplasty, electrophysiology and pacemakers.
You will be required to act as scrub nurse to Consultant Cardiologists and promote and maintain a caring and highly professional standard of nursing, meeting the needs of the patients undergoing Cath Lab procedures.
You will also be involved in liaising and working with Cardiac rehab nurses. The hours will be Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm however occasionally these hours will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service and our patients.
Person requirements
Registered Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
Minimum of two years’ post-registration experience in a Cardiac setting (at least one year of which must be UK-based).
To have completed a recognised Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification.
