We are seeking an experienced Band 8A Clinical Pharmacist to Lead the Older Adult Service within the major health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
Role Summary:
To lead the highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to patients and the multidisciplinary team within the Older Adult service
To work directly and regularly with consultants, senior nursing staff and managers.
To monitor and interpret expenditure on medicines within speciality.
To provide the Directorate with regular reports to assist in the safe use of medicines, the management of the drug budget and clinical governance issues.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 8A salary range is £63,663 to £76,291 plus an annual bonus of £1,517 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Person requirements:
Qualified GPhC-registered Pharmacist
Current or recent Older Adult-specific experience, with recent UK-based practice
Completion of a post-graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy, or relevant post-grad Older Adult qualification
