We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Leader to join the Childrens & Young Peoples Disabilities Short-Break service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
This role open to a Learning Disabilities, Mental Health or Paediatric Nurse or an Adult/General Nurse with Childrens Disabilities experience.

This small home provides excellent 24-hour care and support for Children and Young People aged 4-19 with learning disabilities and some with complex physical needs.
As well as residential short breaks the service provides support to users in their own home or in community setting as well as providing day care in the major school holidays. The staff team are expected to participate in all aspects of the service.
Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for a small team of experienced Support Workers who provide care of approx seven service-users at any time, out of a caseload of approx 35.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 5 salary range is £34876 to £44981 plus an annual bonus of £1,517 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Given the age of the Service Users, many of whom attend school, there is a requirement for evening and weekend shifts, representing a significantly higher monthly

Person Requirements:
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Current or recent Children’s Disabilities experience

Personal qualities to include; Reliability, Honesty, Patience, Resilience, Motivation and Leadership skills.
Valid Driving Licence
