We are seeking a capable and experienced Care Team Leader to join the Learning/Physical Disabilities team at their Supported Living base in Swindon
Job Role:
To support the manager to effectively manage a team of support workers to deliver person centred, specialist services.
To provide clear leadership in relation to work issues and to offer guidance, support, and training where required, alongside conducting staff supervisions.
Maintaining up to date care plans and risk assessments
To act as a representative of the service in all dealings with external stakeholders
This Supported Living service provides.
Support for people with Learning Disabilties and Physical Disabilities. All individuals are provided with a person-centred service which meets their needs. Individuals are encouraged and supported to follow a variety of social activities both within the home and the local community.
Person requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent.
Substantial experience of working with adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behaviours of concern, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Epilepsy and Complex Needs as a Senior Support Worker/Team leader role.
Experience of leading, motivating, supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation.
Experience of dealing with difficult and challenging situations safely and calmly
