Eligibility To Undertake Employment In The UK
If you hold a non-UK or Irish passport, in order to be eligible to undertake employment in the UK, you should be aware that you will be required to meet the full requirements of the UK’s immigration processes.
Some vacancies may be open to non-UK/Irish nationals and employers may be able to provide a ‘Certificate of Sponsorship’ (previously known as a ‘Work-Permit’) from this you can apply for your visa to enter the UK.
To be eligible for employer sponsorship, full UK statutory professional registration is required for Allied Health Professionals (HCPC, GPhC or Social Work England) and Nurses need to have their NMC registration application at the final ‘OSCE-ready’ stage of registration.
