What Information Do We Collect? Anonymous browsing
You can visit this Site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself, including your email address. If you contact Jarrodean we may keep a record of that correspondence. We do not collect the email addresses of those who communicate with Jarrodean via email. We use the information provided only so that we may respond to the email. We do not knowingly solicit information from children and we do not knowingly market our services to children.
When you provide personal information to us, we may communicate and disclose it to third parties for the purpose of fulfilling, servicing and completing your requests namely employment seeking opportunities and the transactions related to it. These third parties may be in the UK or in other parts of the world. By registering with Jarrodean, you agree that your information may be shared with third parties for the purpose of fulfilling, servicing and completing your requests and transactions related to it.
We may also aggregate statistics that we gather about the visitors to the Site, sales, traffic patterns, and services and provide these statistics to third parties; however, when we do, these statistics will not include any personal information that identifies individuals.
How Do You Access and Update Your Personal Information?
Your personal information is located on a server(s) operated by Purple Penguin Media Limited.Jarrodean provides you with the means to access, update, edit or delete the Registration Information and other personal information you have provided to us at any time on your own by going to your user account and changing or deleting your Registration Information and other personal information as desired. If you decide at any time that you do not want to receive any updates you have subscribed for just send an email message to email@example.com your preference not to receive updates. If you are unsure whether we have a record containing your personal information and would like to confirm whether or not we do, please send an email to us with all email addresses which you may have given us.
How Is Your Personal Information Secured and Protected?
Where Jarrodean considers it appropriate, we use encryption and/or authentication tools among other methods to protect certain web-based personal information. E-mails you send us are not necessarily secure when they are transmitted to us. CVs are accessed by our consultants who seek to find you employment with Prospective Employers (subject your written consent, specific to the particular role). Consultants are not permitted to disclose information outside our organization or beyond the Prospective Employer, as applicable. Consultants are also required to have entered into an agreement with Prospective Employers that requires such Prospective Employers to use your CV solely for the purpose of filling a job within the organisation for which the information was provided and not for further disclosure outside of the organization. However, although Jarrodean deals only with reputable organizations, we cannot guarantee that all Prospective Employers and Third Parties will adhere to the limitations we impose on them. If at any time you would like your CV removed from our Website, you may do so by using the “delete CV” function.
Although we use all reasonable means to protect your personal information, Jarrodean is not responsible for any improper use of your personal information that is beyond our reasonable control.
Your CV when uploaded is converted in to various formats for our use only. These conversions are handled by an external datacentre server stack. Once conversion is complete your CV is then automatically deleted from that service. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, the data company have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information. We may disclose your information if necessary to protect our legal rights or if the information relates to actual or threatened harmful conduct or potential threats to the physical safety of any person. Disclosure may be required by law or if we receive legal process. If these servers are breached, we are not responsible for this and cannot be held liable.
In summary then the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.
Within the regulations the following terms are defined, and we have clarified how they apply to Jarrodean:
Data controller – A controller determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
Jarrodean are the controller of the information we collect, we determine the information that we need and how we will process that information for each individual’s best benefit in seeking relevant employment opportunities.
Data processor – A processor is responsible for processing personal data on behalf of a controller.
Jarrodean Consultants are trained processor’s and use the information gathered in line with the policies and procedures of the business to find employment opportunities.
Processing – means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
Data subject – The person who the information is about, this is each individual that decides to use our services in order to seek new employment opportunities. (Candidates) This can also be our Clients. Data Subjects can have access to all the data held about them.
The regulations cover two types of data.
Personal Data which is any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier. For example name, passport number, mailing address or email. Online identifiers include IP addresses and cookies, these our covered in our Privacy Statement.
Special categories personal data – The regulations refer to sensitive personal data as special category data and includes data that may uniquely identify an individual. For example data collected for equal opportunities, health, union membership, criminal history. Jarrodean do not collect special category personal data from Candidates.
Third party – means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.
Prospective Employer – are not defined by the regulations but would be a Third Party. In order to find Employment Opportunities for our Candidates we engage with Prospective Employers and share relevant information as applicable to the role. We have Client agreements in place governing this process. Please see our CV section within this privacy statement.
Retention – the nature of our business is to identify employment opportunities as and when they arise that are in line with the type of opportunities, in the geographical areas and clinical, medical specialities that you have said that you may be interested in.
As we cannot determine when such opportunities will become available we retain your data until such time as you request us not to. That way as soon as any vacancies are fully aligned to your preferences we can notify you and you can assess if the timing is right for you.
Your rights and your personal data
Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you can request:
- a copy of the personal data held;
- the correction of any personal data that is inaccurate or out of date;
- your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary to retain it;
- to withdraw your consent to processing at any time;
- that we provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller, (where applicable i.e. where the processing is based on consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject and where the data controller processes the data by automated means);
- where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing;
